We all have a purpose in this world, something that drives us. Some reason we are here, whether or not it is pursued. My purpose was realized at a very young age when I discovered photojournalism and it has driven me ever since.

Most people go through the world every day, the world happens around them. As a photographer who has been consumed by the drive to document the world since a very young age, I do not go through the world every day, I watch the world, I watch the small lost moments and the details of the moments. Each day I strive to take people into places and moments through my images, place them where they cannot be or show them a different perspective of where they stand every day.

While my work has taken me around the world, shooting on six continents for editorial clients, corporate clients and wedding clients, I find the same thrill and excitement creating images in the small sea side village I call home as I do in a foreign land thousands of miles away. It is not about where the story is; it is all about how it is documented.

Many photography website sites focus on design, or huge images, not mine.  I want viewers to take the time and make the effort to view the images, focus on the images themselves, not the design displaying the images.  Photography is about what is within the image, not the frame in which the image is displayed.

In addition to working as a photographer, I have spent many years working in social media, since before Facebook, Twitter or Instagram ever existed. Some of my work in social and digital media include having created and launched the foundations for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ proactive global passenger social engagement; developing and creating KLM’s Blog; running global visual social media campaigns for the SkyTeam Alliance; developing and executing social engagement projects for National Geographic, Hyatt, Airbnb, Emirates and others ; as well as building the Digital Media Department from scratch for the Turning Stone Resort Casino and its related entities.

Aside from work, I am an extremely proud father of three fantastic kids, tend to three very happy dogs and serve as a Public Information Officer for multiple Fire and Emergency Management Departments.
